Europe was a blur

Arrived in Turkey last night after 4 days on the road. A 650cc single cylinder off road bike doesn’t make the best motorway machine especially witha seat that like an instrument of torture.

Into Asia now and it feels like the real starts here, although already there’s a problem loomimg in Georgia with the one road open to foreigners closed due to a massive landslide. News at present is that the road could be closed for at least 3 weeks which really messes things up. Trying to find an alternative route but this was the one real bottleneck with the route. Iran and Turkmenistan are out due to time to get visas and need for a government guide. North via Ukraine is out due to current troubles and the ferry across the Caspian Sea is a nightmare, everybody has said avoid at all costs. The joys of adventure travel
