Favourite Driving Apps at Speed Couriers

At Speed Couriers we spend plenty of time on the road, and we love to hear about developments in technology that make time behind the wheel safer and even more enjoyable. We took a little time to create this quick rundown of modern mobile apps that make driving a breeze; here are some of our favourites.

DriveSafe.ly

This fantastic app allows you listen to your texts and emails out loud and then dictate a reply without having to even touch your phone. This is fantastic and allows those ‘business on the go’ drivers to conduct their business safely, rather than driving illegally and running the risk of harming themselves and others by hand-operating their phone behind the wheel (as well as coming under penalisation from the police).

NavFree GPS UK & ROI

This app is free and supplies comprehensive street navigation via audio and on-screen instructions. The great thing about the map system is that it is powered by openstreetmap.org; the maps are updated day-to-day by the huge amount of users (around 250,000 to date).

iTheory Driving Test UK 2012

Whether you are looking to brush up on your skills and knowledge on the road or you’re a new driver studying for your driving theory test, iTheory gives you all the information you need to be a driving messiah. All information is completely revised and updated according to the UK Highway Code 2012.

There are plenty of fantastic apps out there to benefit drivers, check out your app store and see what interactive treats you can find.
