On our way out of Kyrgyzstan I needed a headlight bulb so stopped by a car parts shop. When I come out the bike is as always surrounded by the locals, in the case the auto electricians from next door to the car spares place.
In goes the new headlight bulb but the light doesn’t work. In steps Mr Curious onlooker with his multi meter to test the wiring, he finds a broken wire and fixes it within 10 minutes.
“How much?” I ask.
By now if you’ve been reading the blog you can guess the response.
Nil, nothing, nada, nowt. All these people who just want to help a passing stranger, and it sure as hell isn’t because I’ve got a cute face.
Maybe I’ll meet the devil later on in the trip just to bring some balance to all this good karma.
